TERMINATOR: DARK FATE Director Tim Miller Teases The Upcoming Trailer with a New Look at Sarah Connor

According to director Tim Miller, we are only weeks away from seeing the very first trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate. He recently teased the arrival of the trailer in a Tweet that he sent out giving us a new look at Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor and as you can see, she’s carrying around a rocket launcher.

I can’t wait for you to see this trailer! I had a chance to see some footage from the film at CinemaCon last month and I loved what I saw! I’m excited to see what the reaction of the fans will be. I think the movie is going to be awesome! You can read all about the footage that I saw here.

The official synopsis for Terminator: Dark Fate reads:

Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (T-800) return in their iconic roles in Terminator: Dark Fate, directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) and produced by visionary filmmaker James Cameron and David Ellison. Following the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator: Dark Fate also stars Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta.

While we don’t know much about the story for the film. We do know that Mackenzie Davis is an enhanced cyborg from the future who travels back in time to hunt down another Terminator, who is played by Diego Luna. He has the ability to split into two separate Terminator killing machines. A dark liquid metal version that looks human and an exoskeleton.

We will also see Davis’ character team up with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 and Sarah Connor to stop this new Terminator. We don’t know what Luna’s mission is as the Terminator, but I guess we’ll eventually find out. Also, so far, there’s no sign of John Connor being in this movie, so I don’t know if he plays a part in the story or not.

When previously talking about the film, Davis teases how the new film ties into the first original two movies:

“I think it ties into the first two movies in a way that’s really important, the whole scene with the blade on the table. Beyond that, I feel so scared to talk about this movie.”

I assumed she’s referring to the scene in Terminator 2 where Sarah Connor carves the words “No Fate” into the wooden table with a knife. This is inspired by the scene where John Connor tells the T-800 that, "The whole thing goes: The future's not set. There's no fate but what we make for ourselves."

Terminator: Dark Fate hits theaters on November 1, 2019.
