Tessa Thompson Confirms Christian Bale Is Playing a Villain in THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER
Ever since it was reported that Christian Bale was looking to join Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder, fans have been wondering who exactly he would be playing. Tessa Thompson has now confirmed that Bale has officially signed on and that he will be taking on the role of the main villain.
During a recent interview at the premiere of Westworld Season 3, Thompson said:
“Christian Bale is gonna play our villain, which is gonna be fantastic. Yeah, it’s gonna be good.”
It was previously rumored that Bale would be playing an intergalactic villain. We have nothing else to go off of as of right now. But it’ll be interesting to eventually see who he’ll be playing!
Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role as Thor, Natalie Portman will be back as Jane Foster, who will also be Thor, and Waititi will return as Korg. We don’t know anything about the story, but according to director Taika Waititi, it’s going to be “bigger and louder and more bombastic. It's only interesting to me if we're doubling down on how nuts Ragnarok was." Waititi has also teased the film could incorporate Jane Foster’s breast cancer story arc.
Disney will release Thor: Love and Thunder on November 5th, 2021.
