THE BOYS Fans Want a Solider Boy Spinoff Series After His Hilarious GEN V Cameo
Solider Boy made his big cameo appearance in the sixth episode of The Boys spinoff series Gen V, and it was hilarious. I won’t get into any details on the episode if you haven’t seen it yet, but Jensen Ackles was once again awesome in the role and fans loved the cameo!
That cameo now has fans wanting to see a Solider Boy spinoff series, and yeah… what fan of The Boys wouldn’t want to see that!? Ackles plays this character so well, and it seems like a spinoff would easily work with him.
Soldier Boy is the Captain America parody character in the series. He has a backstory that is very familiar to Captain America’s, and he became a big celebrity after fighting in World War II. The character’s legacy is described as being “a mainstay of American culture for decades.” He is characterized by his extreme patriotism, dedication to duty, and naiveté.
More spinoffs have already been teased by Vernon Sanders, the head of television at Amazon and MGM Studios who said: “I will say this: Eric has had a vision for what this all leads to for years now, and we’ve been in an ongoing conversation about what comes next. So, it’s probably premature to talk about that beyond saying we believe in Eric, and if Eric is interested in continuing the story, we’ll be the first ones in line to really work with him on what that is. But right now we’re super focused on Gen V and an amazing Season 4 of The Boys, which I think is going to blow fans away.”
He went on to say: “I think Seth and Evan and Eric are genuinely interested in it. I think we’ve been probably the ones who’ve been wanting to be careful not to overexpose. So, once we committed to Gen V, we really wanted that to be the next thing out. And once we have it out and get a chance to see how everyone’s reacting to it, we can start talking about, like I said, what comes next.”
Well, with the reactions from fan regarding Solider Boy, it seems like he would be a great choice for a spinoff. Here are what some of the fans have been saying about his cameo on social media:
