THE BOYS Series is Getting Another Spinoff Set in Mexico

Amazon Studios is developing another spinoff for the dark superhero series The Boys, and it will be a Spanish-language show that’s set in Mexico City.

The plot details for the series have not been revealed, but if the show actually gets the green light, it will be the third live-action series set in the world of The Boys. The other series is the college-set story Gen V, which was already renewed for a second season.

The series will be produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios. Variety also reports that Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer is attached to write the project. He most recently wrote the screenplay for the DC film Blue Beetle.

The Boys series creator Erik Kripke will executive produce the series along with franchise producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, and Pavun Shetty. The report also says that Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal would executive produce.

While we don’t know what the story for the spinoff will entail, there’s no doubt that the show is going to be just as violent, bloody, brutal, and raunchy as the other shows.
