The Cast of ONE PIECE Reacts to Each Other’s Audition Tapes in Fun Promo Video
Netflix has shared an amusing new One Piece promo video for its hit live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s beloved manga and anime series. It features its four main cast members - Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Taz Skylar, and Jacob Romero Gibson as they react to each other’s audition tapes from three years ago.
It’s pretty fun watching their auditions and it’s not hard to see why they were cast in the roles that they play in the series. They’re all great! The video comes not long after it was announced that One Piece was renewed for Season 2.
One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his pirate crew as they explore a fantastical world of endless oceans and exotic islands in search of the world’s ultimate treasure known as “One Piece” to become the next Pirate King. The other main characters include Zoro (Mackenyu), Nami (Emily Rudd), Usopp (Jacob Romero Gibson), and Sanji (Taz Skylar).
Steven Maeda is a co-writer, showrunner, and executive producer on the series along with Matt Owens, who is also co-writing and executive producing. The series also stars Morgan Davies (The Evil Dead) as Koby, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino (The Sex Lives of College Girls) as Alvida, Aidan Scott (Action Point) as Helmeppo, Jeff Ward (Hacks) as Buggy, McKinley Belcher III (Ozark) as Arlong, and Vincent Regan (Troy) as Garp.
The 10-episode series comes from Tomorrow Studios and One Piece publisher Shueisha.
