The Release Date of VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE Moved Up Two Weeks

After the massive record-breaking box office success of Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings, Sony Pictures has decided to move the release date of Venom: Let There Be Carnage up two weeks. The movie will now be released on October 1st. It’s nice to see a movie release date pushed up instead of pushed back!

Venom: Let There Be Carnage sees the return of Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom, one of Marvel’s most complex characters. He will be joined by Michelle Williams, Reid Scott, and Peggy Lu. It will also feature Woody Harrelson as the maniacal serial killer Cletus Kasady/Carnage, Naomie Harris as Frances Barrison/Shriek, and Stephen Graham as Detective Mulligan.

The movie was directed by Andy Serkis and it was recently slapped with a PG-13 rating for “intense sequences of violence and action, some strong language, disturbing material, and suggestive references.” A lot of fans were upset about the rating as some people were wanting an R-rating, but honestly, that was never going to happen. Sony isn’t going to make that gamble, they want as many people as possible to be able to see this movie.

I just hope that it tells a decent story and that it has a solid script. We’ll find out soon enough!
