Three Actors Reportedly Up for the Lead in DC Studios' BOOSTER GOLD
Booster Gold is one of the projects being developed at DC Studios, and it’s been reported that co-CEO James Gunn may be writing some episodes for the series with Jody Hill (Peacemaker) directing.
When previously talking about Booster Gold, Gunn said: “This is an absolute fan favorite. It's about a loser from the future, who uses basic future technology to come back to today and pretend to be a superhero. It's a series like all the other series for HBO Max. Booster Gold is imposter syndrome as a superhero.”
Some fans have been wondering who might end up taking on the role of Booster Gold and today we’ve got three names that could potentially step into the shoes of this character.
An untested source, Film Front, claims to have learned who the three frontrunners are to play the DCU's Booster Gold.
According to the site Dylan Playfair (Descendants), Fionn Whitehead (Dunkirk), and Patrick Schwarzenegger (Gen V) have all screen-tested for the role of Booster. So, there’s a chance that one of them could land the role.
I really don’t care who is cast in the role of Booster as long as the actor is a great fit for the character and Gunn seems to have a great eye for casting these kinds of characters. So, I’ll just put my trust in Gunn. Any one of these actors could be good in the role.
This Booster Gold series is still very much in early development, so it’ll be a while before we start seeing how the project shakes out.
