Tim Allen Set To Star in New ABC Family Comedy Sitcom SHIFTING GEARS
Tim Allen, star of Home Improvement and Last Man Standing, has signed on to star in a new family sitcom for ABC. The series is tentatively titled Shifting Gears, and it’s the kind of show that you’d expect from Allen.
Shifting Gears centers on Matt (Allen), “a stubborn, widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop. When Matt’s estranged daughter and her teenage kids move into his house, the real restoration begins.”
Yeah, that sounds like the perfect show for Allen. The project comes from Duncanville co-creators Mike Scully and Julie Thacker Sully who executive produce with Last Man Standing executive producers Allen, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Richard Baker and Rick Messina and the series’ studio, 20th Television.
Allen most recently worked with Disney on the series The Santa Clauses, which returned for a second season in November. He is also set to reprise his role as Buzz Lightyear in the next Toy Story movie.
