Tom Hardy Adressess Possible Spider-Man and Venom Crossover - "I'll Fight Spider-Man Whenever He Wants..."
There’s been a lot of talk of Venom: The Last Dance possibly setting up what we might see in Spider-Man 4. There are rumors and speculation that Knull is being set up at the main villain in the next Spider-Man films and that it may see Tom Hardy’s Venom crossover with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
But, Hardy has been making it very clear recently that Venom: The Last Dance is his final film as Venom. During a recent Q&A with The Direct, Hardy was asked about Spider-Man and he responded:
"Will we ever meet Spider-Man? I don't know... You know... See, there are always possibilities. But I cannot possibly say anything, because this is the last movie."
In a separate interview with The Top Comics, Hardy explained: "I love playing Venom, but the contract's up and we always knew we were doing three and this is the best of them all.
“We poured everything into it and absolutely love it. It's an environment based on what people want so who knows what the future holds."
When he was asked the Spider-Man question, Hardy responded: "I'll fight Spider-Man whenever he wants... I would love that, who wouldn't? I'd love to fight Batman as Venom. There's so much to do with these characters."
While Hardy says he’s done playing Venom, it seems like he is leaving the door open to return. We just don’t know what exactly Marvel and Sony are planning with these Spider-Man characters. There is obviously a plan in place, and it will be interesting to see what that is going to be.
Do you think Hardy’s Venom and Holland’s Spider-Man will eventually cross paths in Spider-Man 4 or another project?
