TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS Is the Lowest Grossing Film of the Franchise and Adding G.I. Joe Won't Save It

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has set a new record for Paramount Pictures as it is the lowest-grossing Transformers film in the franchise! The studio still hasn’t learned that they are on the wrong path and they are trying to patch up a sinking ship that people are losing interest in.

The movie made $437 million at the box office worldwide, making it the lowest-grossing live-action Transformers film to date. Even Bumblebee, which was the best in the franchise, only made $465.2 million. It’s pretty wild to think that Transformers: Dark of the Moon sits at the top of the franchise at $1.12 billion at the box office because that movie was not good at all!

This franchise is kinda all over the place and it’s time to just stop. They’ve now introduced G.I. Joe into the mix thinking that is going to get fans excited, but they are going about that in the completely wrong way! I don’t think their current plan, or lack of a plan, is going to work. I’m convinced the studios and the producers of the franchise don’t know what in the hell they’re doing, so they will just keep killing the franchise.

Rise of the Beasts not doing as well as the studio hoped, you’d think they would rethink their whole approach. But, I don’t think they will. I think they’ll just go back to making Transformers movies like Dark of the Moon because they think that formula works.

I’ve already shared my vision of the Transformers and G.I. Joe movies and to properly do it, they really need to start from scratch. I’m sure they’ll have all kinds of meetings about how to proceed with the franchise, but I have a feeling they’ll just end up doing more of the same and audiences and fans are going to stop caring. That a bummer, because these franchises that fans should be excited about!
