Two Spidey Variants Who Could Swing into the Multiverse Saga as SPIDER-MAN 4 Draws Comparisons to DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE
Another day, another Marvel movie rumor! While official details remain scarce on the future of the MCU with films like Avengers: Doomsday, Avengers: Secret Wars, and Spider-Man 4, the rumors are pouring in!
In this recent report from Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus, two fan-favorite Spider-Man variants Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2099 may be coming to the Multiverse Saga.
The report says: "There were talks at one point about incorporating appearances from Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2099 in the Multiverse Saga; but at the moment, it’s only ever been ideas being thrown around."
Although these plans are reportedly in the idea stage, the inclusion of these characters opens up exciting possibilities. Oscar Isaac, who voiced Miguel O’Hara in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, is a natural candidate to portray Spider-Man 2099 in live-action.
As for Miles Morales, rumors have suggested that the character could play a central role in Marvel Studios’ next Spider-Man trilogy, setting up a natural transition from Tom Holland’s Peter Parker to the young hero.
Spider-Man 4 is shaping up to be a pivotal entry in the MCU. Directed by Shang-Chi’s Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the film is generating significant buzz.
Rumors suggest that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield could return as their respective Spider-Men, adding another layer of multiversal spectacle.
Perez also shared insights into the film’s potential dynamics, stating: "Both Marvel AND Sony want this film in particular to be a team-up movie in the way that Marvel produced Deadpool and Wolverine.
“The end goal here is to recapture that same magic and team-up dynamic but switch out Deadpool and Fox for Spider-Man and Sony."
One of the more surprising rumors involves Knull, the villainous god of the symbiotes. Perez said: "I still believe we’re going to get to see him in Spider-Man 4. Too many pieces are falling into place at the same time."
If this pans out, Knull’s involvement could set the stage for a high-stakes battle tied to the symbiote storyline teased in Spider-Man: No Way Home’s post-credits scene.
While these rumors have not been confirmed, the potential inclusion of Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2099 in the MCU could be really cool to see.
