William H. Macy Joins Thomas Jane and Armie Hammer in the Western FRONTIER CRUCIBLE

William H. Macy (Fargo) has joined the upcoming Western film project Frontier Crucible, which is currently in production in Monument Valley and Prescott, Arizona.

Macy joins Thomas Jane and Armie Hammer in the film, which is described as Reservoir Dogs meets Bone Tomahawk, and the story is set in the Arizona Territory of the 1870s.

The film will follow “a former soldier (Clohessy) with a tragic past who is thrown into an uneasy alliance with three outlaws (led by Jane), a beautiful woman (Stickley), and her wounded husband (Brown), in an attempt to survive the elements and hostiles of the western frontier.”

The movie is being directed by Travis Mills (The Pendragon Cycle) and the story is adapted from the 1961 western novel Desert Stake-Out by Harry Whittington.

The movie also stars Myles Clohessy (The Pendragon Cycle), Eli Brown (Run Hide Fight), Eddie Spears (Yellowstone) and Zane Holtz (Hunter Killer), singer/songwriter Jonah Kagen and Mary Stickley.

I’m curious to see how this movie turns out. It sounds like it could be a really interesting Western.
