Zack Snyder Reveals Titles For His REBEL MOON Extended Cut Films and Release Dates
Zack Snyder has revealed the titles of his Rebel Moon extended cut films and they are completely different from the original titles.
The extended version of Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire will be titled Rebel Moon: Chapter One - Chalice of Blood.
The extended version of Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver will be titled Rebel Moon: Chapter Two: Curse of Forgiveness.
It’s interesting and unique that they would give the films completely different titles. I guess giving the films different titles will separate the longer, more violent, R-rated versions from the first films that were already released.
It was also announced that both of the films will be released on Netflix on August 2nd. The two films will be a combined six hours long, which is a long time to watch poorly written movies. A lot of people I know couldn’t even make it through the first 20 minutes of the first film.
When talking about the films, Snyder said: “It's a more, maybe, immersive experience. I'm interested for people to see it that way. It's very adult, it's very R-rated." Deborah Snyder added: “You get more character. You get a lot more of everything. It's not just a few deleted scenes."
In the first film, a group of ragtag rebels rise up to fight against a giant, evil Empire. It’s set in a “peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius.
“They dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them take a stand against the Tyrant.”
The sequel “continues the epic saga of Kora (Sofia Boutella) and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting with the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village, a homeland for those who have lost their own in the fight against the Motherworld.
“On the eve of their battle the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight. As the full force of the Realm bears down on the burgeoning rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, great heroes emerge, and legends are made…”
The movie stars Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Ed Skrein, Bae Doona, Djimon Hounsou. Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Ed Skrein, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman, Anthony Hopkins, and Alfonso Herrera.
