Concept Art Revealed for Ben Hardy's Angel in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

Director Bryan Singer has confirmed that Ben Hardy has officially been cast as Angel in X-Men: Apocalypse. He also gave Empire some new concept art of the character to show off. It was rumored awhile back that Hardy was going to play the character, and then it was recently confirmed that Angel would be in the movie. Now the connection is complete. Singer gave a little insight on the character, saying,

“Ben Hardy is Angel – I shall confirm it for you! But he’s not a very nice Angel! And that’s all I’ll say…”

The two pieces of concept art show the back of the character with wings and without wings. I've got to say that those wings look freakin' menacing, and look like they could cause some serious damage.

Hardy joins returning cast members James McAvoy as Professor Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Evan Peters as Quicksilver. Other newcomers include Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, and Kodi Smit-McPhee as young versions of Cyclops, Storm, Jean Grey, and Nightcrawler, respectively.

X-Men: Apocalypse will be released on May 27th, 2016.
