Amusing New Trailer for THE GARFIELD MOVIE Starring Chris Pratt and Samuel L. Jackson
Sony Pictures has released a new trailer for its upcoming animated film The Garfield Movie, based on the lovable orange, lasagna-loving cat created by Jim Davis.
As a fan of the Garfield comic strips and original animated specials, I would love nothing more than to get a good Garfield feature film, and while this trailer looks amusing, we’ll have to wait and see how the film turns out. Regardless of how it turns out, there’s no doubt that kids will enjoy it!
The movie comes from director Mark Dindal (The Emperor's New Groove and Chicken Little) and it sees Garfield get involved in a high-stakes heist. The voice cast includes Chris Pratt as Garfield, Samuel L. Jackson as his father Vic, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Bowen Yang, and Ving Rhames.
In the film, “Garfield, the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.”
The movie will be released in theaters on May 24th, 2024.
