AVENGERS: THE KANG DYNASTY Has Reportedly Lost Its Screenwriter

When Marvel Studios announced Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, it was revealed shortly after that Jeff Loveless would be writing the script. Loveless recently wrote Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and the writing on that was disappointing. I mean, it was a fun flick, but that script and some of that dialogue in the movie was rough and cringeworthy at times.

Well, according to entertainment scooper Jeff Sneider, Loveness has been removed from writing duties on The Kang Dynasty, which honestly… I think is for the best. For a big film like that Marvel needs a solid script and after watching Quantumania, I’m not sure he was going to cut it.

Also, this doesn’t have anything to do with the writer’s strike, this decision happened prior to that.

There really aren’t any details to share in regards to the story of The Kang Dynasty, but fans have been wondering what Marvel is going to do with Jonathan Majors, who has found himself in hot water recently. I mean, this whole next two phases were going to be built around Majors’ Kang!

Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) is directing the project with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige producing.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star David Dastmalchian wouldn’t agree with me on Loveless’ talents as he recently came out in praising him and said:

"It's such a smart choice, bringing Jeff [Loveness] on board to help craft this world and these stories. Because, A.) He has written and understands comic books more than almost any comic book screenwriter out there. I mean, he has actually been in the trenches for a long time. B.) He is so smart. He sees all the moving pieces at one time, and his brain is this fascinating place."

"He's got, what I would describe as like, a beautiful mind. He's this very sweet, loving, very funny guy, but his brain is like... if he wasn't writing movies, maybe he'd be inventing, doing something with atomic energy. I don't know. And all that combines into this deep love and passion for the characters when he talks about them. His passion, much like Peyton, which is why I think that they hit it off so well, is infectious. It's like talking to a 12-year-old."

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is currently scheduled to be released on May 2nd, 2025!
