Chris Pratt Confirms that GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 Starts Shooting Next Year
Regardless of the events of Avengers: Infinity War, we know that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was being developed. James Gunn has confirmed it and it's supposed to be released in 2020.
Chris Pratt has now confirmed in an Instagram post, wishing co-star Pom Klementieff a happy birthday, that the film will start shooting next year. He said:
"Happy Birthday @pom.klementieff whom many of you know as Mantis!!! She’s such a unique, talented and driven artist. Can’t wait to start shooting Guardians Vol. 3 with her next year! Hope you’re having a good day Pom!"
We still don’t know where the third volume will go after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, but I have no doubt that it will be just as entertaining as the first two films.
James Gunn has explained that Guardians Vol. 3 will be the end of the Guardians trilogy with this team of characters, but the beginning of a whole new Marvel cosmic cinematic universe.
"When we’re talking about Guardians of the Galaxy 3, and that story, that’s a story that will lead to other stories. It’s innate to the DNA that that’s the end of a trilogy but it’s the beginning of a whole other element of the Marvel Cosmic universe."
I'm curious to see what Gunn is planning for the movie. After the events of Infinity War, it's hard to tell how this story is going to unfold. Everyone has their theories about how the events of Infinity War will be fixed in Avengers 4, but the writers recently said that Avengers 4 won't do what you think it will do.
With the Guardians coming back for another film, there's got to be a few things that we're thinking that they will do in that movie!
