CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM Will Officially Come To an End With Season 12

I’ve got some pretty, pretty, pretty bummer news to share with all of you Curb Your Enthusiasm fans out there. The long-running Larry David-created series will officially be coming to an end with the upcoming twelfth season. I know that we’ve heard David say he was done with the series in the past, but it’s for real this time.

David said in a statement: “As Curb comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be – the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character. And so ‘Larry David,’ I bid you farewell. Your misanthropy will not be missed. And for those of you who would like to get in touch with me, you can reach me at Doctors Without Borders.”

Casey Bloys, chairman and CEO, HBO and Max Content, added: “It’s hard to say farewell to such a ground-breaking, brilliantly funny and iconic series like Curb Your Enthusiasm, which has left its mark across television and the comedy genre. Working alongside Larry David and Jeff Schaffer as well as all of the comedic masterminds that comprise our producers, cast and crew has been a joy that I will always treasure.”

The show follows a fictionalized version of Larry David, a semi-retired writer and producer of the hit show Seinfeld, as he navigates the ups and downs of his everyday life in Los Angeles. Known for its improvisational style and cringe-worthy humor, the series explores Larry's social and personal misadventures, often stemming from his unfiltered honesty and tendency to speak his mind. Throughout the series, Larry finds himself in absurd and awkward situations, frequently clashing with friends, acquaintances, and strangers alike. The series is celebrated for its witty and satirical take on the minutiae of human interaction and social norms, making it a hilarious staple in the world of comedy.

I’m sad to see the series come to an end. I always find myself rewatching episodes when I need a laugh. We all knew that the show couldn’t last forever, though. Season 12 will premiere February 4 and the 10-part series will air its finale on April 7.
