Dave Bautista Once Again Pitches Himself for the GEARS OF WAR Movie
Dave Bautista would still very much like to take on the role of Marcus Fenix in a live-action Gears of Wars movie. With Netflix announcing that they are producing a live-action film based on the hit video game, Bautista is once again reminding everyone that he’s locked, loaded, and ready to go!
Bautista was included as a playable character in Gears 5 a few years ago and he shared a modified version of that trailer of him unpacking his armor, and that video came with the following note: “I can’t make this any easier.”
He really can’t! Bautista totally belongs in this franchise, and it would be a shame if he didn’t end up being cast in the film. It seems like a no-braining to cast him! He’d been trying everything to land this role. At one point he even took a meeting for a Fast & Furious film so that he could pitch a Gears of War movie.
As of right now, no details about casting or directing have been shared. The project is still in the early stages of development. But hopefully, Netflix will actually make this happen. This casting is something that fans would love to see!
