DEADPOOL 3 Director Shawn Levy Reveals Hugh Jackman's Reaction to Wearing Wolverine's Classic Yellow Suit
When that first photo surfaced of Hugh Jackman finally wearing the classic yellow and blue Wolverine suit, fans went wild! It’s one of those things that we always wanted to see and never thought we would… until Deadpool 3. The director of the film, Shawn Levy, has revealed Jackman’s reaction to wearing the classic suit, telling Jake’s Takes:
"When I approached Hugh with that idea, he’s like ‘Fuck yeah!’ I’m so happy we were able to release that one picture before the strike paused production.”
He went on to talk about the moment he told Kevin Feige that Jackman wanted to be in the movie, and one of the first things he said was to use the yellow and blue suit:
"When we first told Kevin Feige that Hugh Jackman wanted to join the movie, my recollection is damn near the first thing he said [was], ‘let’s go with the blue and yellow. Just tell me we’re going with the blue and yellow.’"
So, that’s what they did! Levy recently teased the importance of Wolverine in the story for Deadpool 3 while praising Logan, saying:
“I have always said that I can’t wait for Deadpool 3 to come out because all I want to do is give interviews alongside Ryan where we talk about our reverence for the movie Logan. Logan is canon. We love Logan. That happened. I want the world to know, as the producer and director, all of us share a deep love and respect for Logan, every aspect of how it’s crafted, and all the events that take place.”
There was also a recent rumor regarding the star arc for Wolverine in Deadpool 3 and that it will be one of the main elements in the film. Spoilers ahead for those of you who don’t want to know any possible details:
According to the report: "Deadpool 3 is about the TVA picking up the PRIME versions of each hero to create a multiversal army to fight the Kangs. And they picked Hugh Jackman's Wolverine to recruit but he's not fully on board. This is what the movie is about.” That is just an unconfirmed rumor, but it comes from a reliable source.
The released of Deadpool 3 has been delayed, and as of right now, we have no idea when it will be released.
