First Look at David Corenswet as Clark Kent in James Gunn's SUPERMAN
A New photo and video have surfaced from the set of James Gunn’s Superman, and these offer a first look at David Corenswet as Clark Kent. We’ve already seen the actor as Superman, and as you’ll see he is sporting a very different look as Clark.
This new version of Clark has a messy mop of curly hair, which is the style that a lot of teens are sporting these days. I guess this hairstyle gives Clark a better disguise as it covers most of his forehead.
I wasn’t expecting this kind of look, but it works! What’s I’m mostly curious about is how Corenswet will completely change his physicality from Superman to Clark Kent, which is something that Christopher Reeve was a master of.
So far, no actor has been able to effectively pull off what Reeve did when switching back and fourth between Superman and Clark.
Superman will tell the story of “Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”
Superman also stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane; Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor; Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern; Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl; Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt / Mr. Terrific; Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen; María Gabriela de Faría as Angela Spica, aka The Engineer; Sara Sampaio, as Eve Teschmacher; and Terence Rosemore as Otis.
Superman will launch the movie part of DC Studios’ Gods and Monsters: Part 1. It’s scheduled for a theatrical release on July 11, 2025.
