First Look at Marvel's THE FANTASTIC 4: FIRST STEPS Team Suit Design
During the Marvel Studios segment of Disney’s D23 presentation, the cast of The Fantastic 4: First Steps greeted fans in a video message, which offered a first look at the suits that the team will be wearing in the film.
As you can see in the image above, Joseph Quinn's Johnny Storm is the only one suited up for some action, and I love the look of the costume! It’s a cool pulpy retro style. I imagine this is one of multiple suits that we might see these characters wear.
They don’t really say anything interesting in the video, but you can watch it below if you want.
The Fantastic 4 is set in the ‘60s in an alternate-reality version of New York City. We saw some test footage of this at Comic-Con last month and I was blown away by it. The movie just started shooting, and they had nothing more to share at D23.
The movie also stars Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us) as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning) as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman; and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher, The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka the Thing.
Paul Walter Houser also recently was cast in the project in an unknown role, Natasha Lyonne, and Julia Garner (Ozark, Inventing Anna) will take on the role of Shalla-Bal, who is an incarnation of Silver Surfer. Ralph Ineson will play Galactus.
