THE FANTASTIC 4: FIRST STEPS Composer Michael Giacchino Reveals Main Musical Score Theme
The Fantastic 4: First Steps composer Michael Giacchino (Werewolf By Night) showed up at Disney’s D23 Expo and during a presentation, he unveiled the main musical score theme he created for the Marvel movie.
You can listen to the main theme below, and I like it! It certainly seems to capture the tone of the film that has already been teased.
The Fantastic 4 is set in the ‘60s in an alternate-reality version of New York City. We saw some test footage of this at Comic-Con last month and it looks awesome! The movie just started shooting, and I’m curious to see more.
The movie stars Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us) as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning) as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman; Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) as Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch; and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher, The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka the Thing.
Paul Walter Houser also recently was cast in the project in an unknown role, Natasha Lyonne, and Julia Garner (Ozark, Inventing Anna) will take on the role of Shalla-Bal, who is an incarnation of Silver Surfer. Ralph Ineson will play Galactus.
The screenplay comes from Josh Friedman, who was brought in to rewrite the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.
The Fantastic 4 is set to hit theaters on July 25, 2025. Listen to the theme below and let us know what you think! I also included a video of Giacchino presenting the score to fans in attendance.
