GHOSTBUSTERS 3 Looking To Cast STRANGER THINGS Star Finn Wolfhard and Carrie Coon

Director Jason Reitman is currently in the process of casting the highly anticipated Ghostbusters 3 and according to Variety, Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Carrie Coon (Fargo, The Leftovers) are in talks to join the movie.

The latest report reveals that the story for the film will focus on “a single mom and her family, with Coon playing the mom and Wolfhard playing her son.” There’s still no information on how exactly this movie will connect to the original two films.

According to insiders, Reitman has been “weary about using anyone from the Stranger Things cast in this film due to some of the similarities between the two properties, but both he and the executives were blown away by Wolfhard’s audition.”

Reitman previously said that Ghostbusters 3 will be a love letter to the original film and he plans to start shooting it this summer for a 2020 release date.

It’s already been reported that the characters in the story will consist of two boys and two girls from the ages of 12 to 13.
