HALO Season 2 Full Trailer Released - "Rise From the Fall"
Paramount+ has released a full trailer for Halo Season 2, and it teases this next chapter of the story and features a good amount of action. Fans of the show are sure to like what this trailer has to offer, but this series should have and could have been so much better. But this is what you get from a creative team that didn’t even talk about the game while they developing it. I don’t like how they are handling the material and the characters, and I’m not interested in watching Season 2.
After this series, who knows when or if we’ll ever get a proper Halo adaptation? But there are some people that seem to enjoy the show.
The official description for Season 2 reads, “Master Chief John-117 (Pablo Schreiber) leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. In the wake of a shocking event on a desolate planet, John cannot shake the feeling that his war is about to change and risks everything to prove what no one else will believe – that the Covenant are preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold. With the galaxy on the brink, John embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind’s salvation, or its extinction — the Halo.”
The series comes from showrunner David Wiener and executive producer Kiki Wolfkill. The cast also includes Joseph Morgan as James Ackerson, described as “a formidable intelligence operative who has spent his career climbing the ranks of the UNSC’s secretive Office of Naval Intelligence.” Cristina Rodlo is also in the series playing Talia Perez, “a corporal specializing in linguistics for a UNSC Marine Corps communications unit and a relatively new recruit who has yet to see any real combat.”
Returning cast members include Natascha McElhone, Jen Taylor, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, Danny Sapani, Fiona O’Shaughnessy, and Tylan Bailey.
The second season is executive produced by Wiener alongside Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey for Amblin Television.
Season 2 will premiere on February 8, 2024 with the first two episodes of the season.
