HAPPY DEATH DAY Director Christopher Landon Set To Helm DROP For Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes
Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes are teaming up for a new thriller titled Drop, and they’ve set Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon to helm the movie. It was also announced that The White Lotus actress Meghann Fahy is set to star.
The film’s story details are being kept under wraps, but it’s described as a “fast-paced thriller.” The script for the film was written by Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach and it will be produced by Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller, and Cameron Fuller.
Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes previously teamed up on the successful horror thriller franchise, The Purge, which has its sixth installment on the way.
Landon was supposed to direct Scream VII, but ended up dropping out of that with all of the drama going on. He’s also set to direct the werewolf movie Big Bad as well as a remake of Arachnophobia. He tends to make fun movies, so it will be interesting to see what he’s got planned for Drop.
