James Gunn Debunks Report Regarding Wonder Woman Not Being Included in DC Studios Initial 3 Year Plan
James Gunn and Peter Safran are going to reveal their initial three-year plan for DC Studios this month, but while we wait for that, some new information has emerged regarding what those plans will not include.
Variety recently reported that Wonder Woman will not be involved at all, saying: "As 2023 kicks off, DC bosses Gunn and Safran continue to sift through the rubble, and will soon reveal their three-year interconnected vision for the cinematic universe, which won't include Cavill's Superman or Wonder Woman at all."
We knew the studio wouldn’t be moving forward with Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 3, but I thought there was a chance that we might see some kind of Wonder Woman reboot, like with what Gunn is currently developing for Superman. That Superman movie is the only thing we know for sure will be coming in the plan, and there’s a good chance there will be a Batman movie involved as well.
Well, after that report went live, Gunn took to Twitter to debunk the news saying: "I hereby debunk it (only because it's not true)." What’s unclear, though, is whether Gal Gadot will remain in the role following the cancelation of Wonder Woman 3.
Gunn also confirmed the length of the DC slate, telling a fan "our slate is 8 to 10 years (but we will only be announcing some of it this month)."
I never doubted that we would see another Wonder Woman movie one day, I just have no idea what that is going to look like, or if Gal Gadot will even return to the role.
What would you like to see DC Studios do with Wonder Woman when they eventually get around to it?
