James Gunn Offers Updates on PEACEMAKER Season 2, His WALLER Series, and More
DC Studios Co-CEO James Gunn recently took to Twitter to answer some questions from fans about a variety of upcoming DC projects. All of these details were dropped while most of the internet was focused on all of the Star Wars news coming out of Star Wars Celebration.
Two of the big projects he offered updates on were Peacemaker Season 2 and Waller. When asked about Peacemaker Season 2 and if it was still going to happen, Gunn confirmed that the second season is still a go, but we’re going to have to wait awhile because it won’t be released until after Superman: Legacy, which is set for July 11, 2025.
Gunn was then asked if there were many more creatives attached to some of the upcoming DC Studios’ projects, to which the director responded, “Yes.”
Gunn previously confirmed that Creature Commandos would be the first project released in his newly formed DC Studios. With that series being released before Superman: Legacy, Gunn was asked if his other show, Waller, would be released before Superman. Gunn said that it will be released if it’s done in time.
Christal Henry (Watchmen) is writing the show with Jeremy Carver (creator of Doom Patrol).
He was then asked if he would work with Rocket Raccoon voice actor Bradley Cooper again at some point in the future, and he said: “Very much so.”
Finally, Gunn amusingly responded to a fan who told him that they missed Henry Cavill. Gunn simply said that “he still exists.”
