John Carpenter Revealed He Directed a New Project JOHN CARPENTER'S SUBURBAN SCREAM From His Couch
Horror movie fans have been wanting to see John Carpenter direct another movie for years, but it’s one of those things he’s evaded. It seems like something that he’s not really interested in doing anymore, which is both understandable and a little sad.
He recently teased a sequel to his classic sci-fi horror film The Thing could be happening but didn’t offer any real details, and we have no idea what his involvement with it is. But, it turns out that he has secretly directed something!
The filmmaker revealed At Texas Frightmare that he directed the new TV series John Carpenter's Suburban Screams and he did it all from the comfort of his own home as he directed remotely, which doesn’t seem fun at all, but apparently that’s how he likes doing things these days.
He said: "I just finished directing, remotely, a TV series called Suburban Screams -- John Carpenter's Suburban Screams. You guys have gotta watch it. It was shot in Prague and I sat on my couch and directed it. It was awesome."
There are no other details about the series, and we have no idea when, where, or if it will even be released. But, the fact that he has directed something new, should get fans excited.
The last film he directed was the 2010 movie The Ward, and in 2017 Carpenter helmed a music video for the theme song to his 1983 film Christine.
Are you excited to hear that Carpenter directed a new project!?
