Marvel Reveals 5-Minute SECRET INVASION Clip on a Viral Marketing Website
Marvel Studios has launched a viral marketing campaign for its upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion. They’ve launched a secret viral marketing website that isn’t really a secret anymore called TheInvasionHasBegun.com.
On that site is a 5-minute clip from the series, but to access the site and the clip you need a secret password, and that password is also not a secret anymore. Marvel was releasing clues to the password on their official Twitter account. They would post the clues and then quickly delete them. They included snapshots of a bulletin board filled with photos and clues, and certain letters highlighted.
The Marvel fans quickly put the pieces together and figured out the password is: RSD3PX5N7S. So, all you need to do is enter that password on the site and you are good to go, you can watch the clip, which is also followed by an extended teaser.
The clip centers on Martin Freeman's Agent Everett Ross as he meets with a frantically uneasy Agent Prescod (Richard Dormer) who seems to be hiding out. He’s sharing conspiracy theories on how different wars that have taken place on Earth seem too coordinated, and this leads to him saying that this is all due to a Skrull invasion.
This story is set in the present-day MCU, “Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.”
The series also stars Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulroney, Christopher McDonald, Katie Finneran, with Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, and Don Cheadle.
Based on Brian Michael Bendis, Leinil Francis Yu, Mark Morales, and Laura Martin’s comic book series, Secret Invasion is executive produced by Kyle Bradstreet (Mr. Robot), with Let Him Go director Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim (The Looming Tower) set as directors.
Secret Invasion will premiere on June 21st, exclusively on Disney+.
