Marvel's MOON GIRL AND DEVIL DINOSAUR Animated Series Brings in an MCU Character
Fans seem to be enjoying Marvel’s animated series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and in last week’s episode, a character from the main MCU made a surprise appearance. Maria Hill showed up in the episode and Cobie Smulders returned to reprise her role!
In the episode, titled "OMG Issue #1," both Moon Girl and her friend Casey geeked out over meeting the SHIELD agent. While Maria seems cool with the fanfare, she ultimately has enough of it and ended up blocking Casey’s number. You can see an image from the episode below.
The next time we’ll see the live-action version of Maria Hill in action is in the upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion.
Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is based on Marvel’s hit comic book series, and the story follows the adventures of a 13-year-old super-genius named Lunella Lafayette and her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur. “After Lunella accidentally brings Devil Dinosaur into present-day New York City via a time vortex, the duo works together to protect the city's Lower East Side from danger.”
The series also stars Laurence Fishburne as The Beyonder, Diamond White (The Bold and the Beautiful, The Lion Guard) as Lunella Lafayette (aka Moon Girl); Alfre Woodard (Luke Cage) as Lunella's grandmother, Mimi; Libe Barer (Sneaky Pete) as Lunella's best friend and manager, Casey; Sasheer Zamata (Saturday Night Live) as Lunella's mom, Adria; Jermaine Fowler (Superior Donuts) as Lunella's dad, James Jr.; Fred Tatasciore (Marvel's Avengers Assemble) as the one-and-only Devil Dinosaur; and Gary Anthony Williams (Doc McStuffins) as Lunella's grandfather, Pops.
Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is produced by Black-ish and Grown-ish executive producer Helen Sugland.
