MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Casts Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man and More

Masters of the Universe has cast stunt performer Jon Xue Zhang (Kraven the Hunter) to take on the role of Ram-Man in the film alongside Sasheer Zamata (Agatha All Along) as Suzie, and Christian Vunipola (Wildflower) as Hussein.

They join Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, Camila Mendes as Teela, Alison Brie (Community) as Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba (Luther) as Man-At-Arms, while Jared Leto (Blade Runner 2049) will play the villain Skeletor.

Then there’s Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, and Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops.

The film is said to introduce Adam as an ordinary man, working "a boring office job" in the “real world.” The Masters of the Universe stories are merely tales Adam heard as a little kid.

The leaked synopsis reads: “10-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia.

“After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor.

“But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe!”

The script was was written by Chris Butler (ParaNorman), and it builds on an earlier draft by David Callaham (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings). Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch, and DeVon Franklin are producing.

Travis Knight is directing the film, and while I like him as a director, setting this movie on Earth is a big mistake.
