MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Set Photos Offer First Look at Prince Adam on Earth with His Power Sword
A bunch of photos have surfaced from the set of the live-action Masters of the Universe movie they features Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, and he’s on Earth instead of Eterina, and it also features his Power Sword.
Galitzine is also sporting his He-Man-style hairdo, as well as Prince Adam's signature pink attire. It appears that He-Man is having some issues with the Police.
There have been reports on what the story for this movie will entail, and they have fans worried. The film is said to the film introduces Adam as an ordinary man, working "a boring office job" in the “real world.” The Masters of the Universe stories are merely tales Adam heard as a little kid.
I hate that this movie is going to be set on Earth. I want a Masters of the Universe film set entirely on Eterinia! Why the hell is it so hard for Hollywood to give us that!? While I like some of the projects that Travis Knight has made, I’m worried about his take on He-Man.
The leaked synopsis reads: “10-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia.
“After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor.
“But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe!”
The movie also stars Camila Mendes as Teela, Alison Brie (Community) as Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba (Luther) as Man-At-Arms, while Jared Leto (Blade Runner 2049) will play the villain Skeletor.
Then there’s Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, and Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops.
The script was was written by Chris Butler (ParaNorman), and it builds on an earlier draft by David Callaham (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings). Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch, and DeVon Franklin are producing.
