Michael Keaton Is in Talks to Play a Villain in SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

It looks like Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man: Homecoming is about to get even more awesome with the possible inclusion of Michael Keaton as the villain in the film. The news comes from Variety, who says that the actor is in early talks to join the Jon Watts-directed film. If cast, he will join Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, and Zendaya in a mystery role

It would be pretty damn cool to see Keaton in another superhero film. We don't know exactly who he would be playing, but it was recently rumored that one of the villains would be Vulture. After starring in Birdman, I can't help but think how insane it would be if Keaton ended up playing Vulture. I don't think it will be Vulture, but at the same time I don't know who he would play, so let the speculation begin!

The film focuses on a teenage Peter Parker’s high school days. When previously talking about the film at CinemaCon, Holland said:

"It really is a homecoming for the character, because throughout the story Peter [Parker] is trying to find his true identity, and where he really belongs in this world."

We won't be getting any plot details anytime soon, but the film is set to be released on July 7th, 2017.
