New Details Shared For DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN And Don't Expect To See Jessica Jones, Luke Cage or Iron Fist

With Netflix’s Marvel TV shows now officially canon in the MCU, fans have been wondering if we might see any of The Defenders characters show up in Daredevil: Born Again . I never thought we would, but a new report has surfaced saying that Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist will not appear in the series.

With Daredevil: Born Again currently going through a creative overhaul, there’s going to be a lot of speculation about the characters we might see in it. But, according to Marvel scooper Daniel Richtman, there are no plans for Luke Cage, Iron Fist, or Jessica Jones to appear in the Disney+ series. 

I’m fine not seeing any of those characters in the show, but it’s been confirmed that Jon Bernthal is returning to play The Punisher. We also might actually see Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, which would be great!

Richtman also claims that Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk will be New York City's Mayor when Daredevil: Born Again begins.

The new creative team behind Daredevil: Born Again includes co-directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, and they have indicated that they are committed to delivering a high-quality series. Dario Scardapane, the executive producer behind both seasons of The Punisher, is helming the series as the showrunner. Chris Ord and Matt Corman, the original showrunners, are also attached as executive producers, ensuring continuity and expertise in crafting the show's narrative.

D'Onofrio recently offered an update, saying: "We're having a really good time right now. We're getting back up. We're gonna start soon, hopefully sooner than later, and Charlie [Cox] and I feel like the right vibe is there."

He added: "I think all the powers out there that control this whole creative world of the MCU, also believe that we’re in the right place right now. I have to say, it's luck, really. I mean, my favorite series so far have been Moon Knight and Loki, and we've got those guys as directors, and so that's pretty lucky. And we've got Dario [Scardapane], who's an incredible writer who wrote The Punisher. We're in a very happy place right now." 

Daredevil: Born Again is currently expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2025.
