Ray Fisher on Zack Snyder's REBEL MOON - "The Sci-Fi Game Is About to Change"

Justice League’s Ray Fisher is set to appear in Zack Snyder's upcoming sci-fi movie Rebel Moon, and he recently shared his thoughts on some footage that he recently saw of the film. As you’d expect, he is hyping it up to the extreme, saying:

"Saw some footage from a certain space epic last night…the sci-fi game is about to CHANGE. Get ready cosplayers—y'all are gonna feast for decades!!!"

As you know, Rebel Moon is based on a Star Wars film idea that Snyder pitched to Lucasfilm and they passed on. Some details were recently shared on the project and there are a ton of things that are very similar to Star Wars. While I’m excited about the movie, I’m not sure if it’s going to change the sci-fi game, especially with how similar it is to Star Wars, but I have no doubt that it’ll still be a lot of fun!

The story follows a group of ragtag rebels who rise up to fight against a giant, evil Empire. It’s set in a “peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius. They dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them take a stand against the Tyrant.”

The Justice League actor told his fans about seeing footage from the Science Fiction project for the first time. He says that cosplay fans better prepare themselves for what's coming. Netflix and Snyder alike have billed this as an event. Rebel Moon began as the director's pitch for a Star Wars movie years ago. With a pedigree like that, you can see why fans would be really excited for whatever Snyder has planned this time around. For Fisher, this is the biggest project he's been a part of since his Cyborg days. A lot of the fans have been waiting for him to get another big franchise role, and here it is. Check out the tweet for yourself down below!

Snyder previously talked about the project, saying: “This is me growing up as an Akira Kurosawa fan, a Star Wars fan. It's my love of sci-fi and a giant adventure. My hope is that this also becomes a massive IP and a universe that can be built out." I’m excited to see how this first film turns out and I hope it ends up blowing fans away.

This is a two-part film and each part will come with an R-rated edition that fans can watch as well. The movie stars Charlie Hunnam, Ed Skrein, Bae Doona, Djimon Hounsou. Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Ed Skrein, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman, Anthony Hopkins, and Alfonso Herrera.

Part One of Rebel Moon is scheduled to arrive on Netflix on December 22nd following a limited theatrical release.
