SPIDER-MAN 4 Will Reportedly Include Two Major MCU Characters
Another Marvel movie rumor has surfaced regarding Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4. This latest information comes from reliable insider scooper Daniel Ritchman, who shares that the movie might include two big characters from the MCU that could have sizable roles in the story.
It’s being reported that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil will have a sizeable role in Spider-Man 4, at least in the current iteration of the script. It’s also said that Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man will be added to the mix of characters as well.
Rumors about this started months ago saying Spider-Man 4 will serve as a sequel to the Daredevil: Born Again series, and that it would see Spider-Man team up with Daredevil to take down The Kingpin. None of this has been confirmed, but I sure do enjoy the idea of Spider-Man and Daredevil teaming up for a live-action adventure together.
Spider-Man franchise producer Eric Carroll previously said he would be interested in a Daredevil and Spider-Man crossover saying: "Daredevil's not specifically referenced in this movie, no. I think that's something we all think would be really fun, and it's definitely a card I would love to see played, if not sooner rather than later. But as of now, it's not referenced in this movie."
So, this is an idea that Marvel Studios has been thinking about doing for a few years. If they’ve found a good story to tell with these characters… why not tell it!? This is a rumor that I hope turns out to be true. It’d be a lot of fun to see!
