Spider-Man Will Reportedly Have a Major Role in AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY
It was previously reported that Spider-Man will appear in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. We are now learning that Tom Holland’s web-slinger may play a major role in Doomsday.
The report comes from insider MyTimeToShineHello, who claims that Spider-Man will appear as “the main lead in Avengers 5 but will have a smaller role in Secret Wars.”
It certainly makes sense to include Spider-Man in these big Avengers projects since he will find himself facing off with Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, who will look exactly like his mentor Tony Stark. You can bet your ass that’s going to really mess with Peter Parker’s head.
There’s a big and interesting psychological element with Downey Jr. playing Doom, not just with Parker, but with the rest of the heroes that fought alongside Tony Stark/Iron Man. But, there’s definitely a more personal connection with Parker.
Spider-Man will next appear in Spider-Man 4, and after that he will start work on Avengers: Doomsday. While the MCU has struggled in recent years, I am curious and kind of excited to see how the next phase of films plays out through Avengers: Secret Wars.
The next two Avengers movies are being directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit the big screens on May 1, 2026. Avengers: Secret Wars, is presently slated for a May 7, 2027 premiere.
