Teaser Trailer Drops For HALO Season 2 - "They Will Be Remembered"
Paramount+ has released the trailer for Halo Season 2, the first season of which was completely forgettable. I think the creative team behind this series dropped the ball and the story was incredibly disappointing. I obviously didn’t care for the first season at all and I don’t think I’ll be returning for Season 2. An adaptation of Halo should be so much better than what this series delivered. It didn’t help that the creative team didn’t look at art talk about the game while they developed the series.
For those of you who did like the show, though, then you’ll probably be interested in seeing what’s in store for Season 2, which will premiere on February 8, 2024 with the first two episodes of the season.
The official description for Season 2 reads, “Master Chief John-117 (Pablo Schreiber) leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. In the wake of a shocking event on a desolate planet, John cannot shake the feeling that his war is about to change and risks everything to prove what no one else will believe – that the Covenant are preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold. With the galaxy on the brink, John embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind’s salvation, or its extinction — the Halo.”
The series comes from showrunner David Wiener and executive producer Kiki Wolfkill. The cast also includes Joseph Morgan as James Ackerson, described as “a formidable intelligence operative who has spent his career climbing the ranks of the UNSC’s secretive Office of Naval Intelligence.” Cristina Rodlo is also in the series playing Talia Perez, “a corporal specializing in linguistics for a UNSC Marine Corps communications unit and a relatively new recruit who has yet to see any real combat.”
Returning cast members include Natascha McElhone, Jen Taylor, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, Danny Sapani, Fiona O’Shaughnessy, and Tylan Bailey.
The second season is executive produced by Wiener alongside Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey for Amblin Television. Watch the teaser trailer below:
