Tom Holland Talks SPIDER-MAN 4 and How If They Can't Do Better Than NO WAY HOME "He'll Swing Off Into the Sunset"
Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have every intention of making a fourth Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland. Producer Amy Pascal recently offered an update on the project, saying:
“Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are. We’re in the process, but with the writer’s strike, nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started.”
Tom Holland seems to have a different take on the matter. During a recent interview, he said that he’d be “the luckiest kid alive” if he got to continue to play Spider-Man for the rest of his life. However, he goes on to say that if “we can’t find a way to compete with the third one, he’ll swing off into the sunset.”
So, that sounds to me as if they can’t top what they did in No Way Home, which was pretty amazing, hew wouldn’t be interested in doing it. And good luck to Marvel and Sony as they attempt to follow up No Way Home with something better. I’m sure they can do it with the right creative team.
Kevin Feige previously teased that they have some big ideas for the next chapter of the story and the script was being written. His exact words are: “All I will say is that we have the story. We have big ideas for that, and our writers are just putting pen to paper now.”
I’m looking forward to seeing what they’ve come up with!
