Wes Anderson Sets Bill Murray, Michael Cera, and Benicio Del Toro for His Next Film

Director Wes Anderson has set the main cast members up for his next feature film project. Bill Murray, Michael Cera, and Benicio Del Toro will star in the film.

It was previously reported that Cera had joined this film, and this will be the first time he’s appeared in an Anderson movie. Both Murray and Del Toro have worked with the filmmaker in the past.

Anderson wrote the new film with Roman Coppola, but there’s no word on story details. Anderson previously teased a new film project he was working on and said it was a father-and-daughter story. He shared in an interview:

“I finished writing a new film, which was right before the writers strike happened. If everything goes well then we’ll be shooting that one this fall. This time around I just have three main characters in the film, that’s it. A few side characters, but the crux of the story focuses, actually, on two main characters […] I’ve long delayed this project, for years, but it recently spoke to me again. Ever since my daughter was born, seven years ago, my wife said that I would end up doing a father-daughter story. I wasn’t sure what other stories I could tell, but then this film came along. It’ll be a story about a father and his daughter.”

I assume this untitled film project is the one that he is talking about here in this quote. We can expect to see a lot of other casting announcements for it.
