YELLOWJACKETS Season 2 - First Look at Lauren Ambrose as Adult Van
Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have our first look at Lauren Ambrose (Servant) in the role of adult Van in Showtime’s Yellowjackets Season 2. As you can see, the character still sports her casual-cool look, and you can also see the scars on the left side of her face from that brutal wolf attack in the first season. She also looks happy, which is nice, especially after what she went through. The younger version of the character is played by Liv Hewson.
Yellowjackets was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson (Narcos). The series follows a talented high school girls' soccer team who survive a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The story “chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”
The series also stars Juliette Lewis (Camping), Christina Ricci (Z: The Beginning of Everything) and Tawny Cypress (Unforgettable), Melanie Lynskey (Sweet Home Alabama), Simone Kessell (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Jason Ritter (Parenthood), and Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings) in a season-long guest arc as a a citizen detective named Walter.
The series also stars Tawny Cypress, Ella Purnell, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Sammi Hanratty, Steven Krueger, and Warren Kole.
When previously talking about Season 2, Ricci teased that it’s "more crazy, more shocking, and really compelling and fun." She went on to say: "I can't really get too much into detail, but I will say the first couple scripts had the entire cast gasping. So it's even wilder."
Yellowjackets is set to premiere on March 24th, 2023.
