YELLOWJACKETS Season 2 Premiere Date Announced by Showtime in Promo Video
Showtime has released a promo video for Yellowjackets Season 2, and it announces that the drama thriller is set to premiere on Friday, March 24th, 2023. The first season of this show was quite a crazy ride, and I was hooked from beginning to end, and fans like myself have been excited about what Season 2 is going to bring.
The series followed a talented high school girls' soccer team who survive a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The story “chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”
The show was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson (Narcos), and it stars Melanie Lynskey (Castle Rock), Juliette Lewis (Camping), Christiana Ricci (Z: The Beginning of Everything) and Tawny Cypress (Unforgettable), Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under, Servant), Simone Kessell (Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings) in a season-long guest arc.
The series also stars Tawny Cypress, Ella Purnell, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Sammi Hanratty, Steven Krueger, and Warren Kole.
When previously talking about Season 2, Ricci teased that it’s "more crazy, more shocking, and really compelling and fun." She went on to say: "I can't really get too much into detail, but I will say the first couple scripts had the entire cast gasping. So it's even wilder."
Check out the little promo teaser below and let us know if you’re looking forward to the show’s return.
