Dwayne Johnson Returning To The FAST AND FURIOUS Franchise!

Vin Diesel recently teased that the Fast and Furious franchise was going to close out with a trilogy instead of just two films like they had been planning. Well, on top of that, Dwayne Johnson will be reprising his role as Luke Hobbs for the final installments of the franchise! There’s no doubt that a lot of fans will find this news shocking!

As you know there was a lot of drama between Diesel and Johnson. The actor played Hobbs in the Fast & Furious film franchise from the fifth film, Fast Five in 2011, to the eighth film, The Fate of the Furious in 2017. During that film, he had a dispute with Diesel that was made public and pushed the two actors to part ways.

Diesel later made a public plea to Johnson to “fulfill his destiny” and return for Fast X. Johnson wasn’t happy with how Diesel handled the situation and actually slamed him for his public plea because Johnson already told Diesel no. Johnson said:

"I told [Diesel] directly that I would not be returning to the franchise. I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return. Vin's recent public post was an example of his manipulation. I didn't like that he brought up his children in the post, as well as Paul Walker's death. Leave them out of it. We had spoken months ago about this and came to a clear understanding."

Johnson went on to say that Diesel’s plea muddied the waters after ending his time with the franchise with gratitude. But, it looks like he obviously had a chance of heart and Diesel managed to get Johnson back into the franchise, which I seriously didn’t think would ever happen. But, here we are!

Johnson is coming back to fulfill his destiny as Hobbs and play a part in bringing this crazy-ass over-the-top action franchise to an end.

Are you excited to hear that Johnson is coming back for more Fast and Furious action!?
