FANTASTIC FOUR Production Start Date Reportedly Revealed
A new report has surfaced revealing the possible production start date for the highly-anticipated Marvel movie, Fantastic Four. The report comes from Daniel Richtman, who says that the film is going to start shooting in May 2024. This means that a wave of Fantastic Four casting news will be coming soon.
So far, the only confirmed cast member is Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us), who is taking on the role of Reed Richards. But, other rumored cast members include Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning) as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman; Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) as Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch; and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher, The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka the Thing.
Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer, Batman Begins, Inception) is also said to be the studio’s top choice to take on the villainous role of Doctor Doom. Anya Taylor-Joy is also up for a mystery role in the film. She might be up for the role of Galactus’ herald in the movie.
Fantastic Four will be directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision) from a screenplay by Josh Friedman, who was brought in to re-write the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.
As a project in Phase Six of the MCU, Fantastic Four is scheduled to be released on May 2, 2025.
