JOHN WICK Director Chad Stahelski Reveals the Timeline of the Action Franchise

Thanks to director Chad Staheleski, we now know the timeline for the four films that have been made in the action franchise. So much has happened over the course of these four movies, and Wick is constantly on the run and fighting for his life against the endless onslaught of assassins. Wick definitely has the superpowers of stamina and endurance!

It turns out that John Wick’s journey has played out in a shockingly short amount of time! During an interview with Collider, Staheleski talked about the film’s timeline saying:

"We figured the first three movies almost happened in like a week, week and a half, somewhere in there. That's my version, I think Keanu's is a little different, and I think ['Chapter 4'] is like six months later. So within a year, I think it all happens. I would say almost within seven to eight months.

That’s wild! Over the course of those first three films in that week, when did Wick have time to eat, sleep, and go to the bathroom!? He had to eat to keep that kind of energy up! He also seriously injured himself, but a guess a few months is all the time he needed to heal.

Well, when we see him in John Wick: Chapter 4, Wick is completely refreshed and ready to go, and once he gets going… it’s non-stop action insanity!

John Wick: Chapter 4 also stars Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Clancy Brown, Ian McShane, and Bill Skarsgard as the sinister main villain.

The movie is scheduled to open in theaters on March 24th, 2023.
