Nick Fury and Maria Hill Talk Over a Game of Chess in New SECRET INVASION Clip
Nick Fury has gone through a lot over the years in the MCU, he’s faced off with some pretty big threats and has played a role in saving the world on several occasions. Now, in Marvel’s upcoming Secret Invasion series, Samuel L. Jackson’s Fury will be facing another big threat, and this time, he feels like he has to face it alone.
This story is set in the present-day MCU, “Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.”
We’ve got a new clip to share with you from the series, and it sees Fury and Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill have a little conversation over a game of chess. Hill shares how different Fury has become, and questions whether or not he's ready for what he has to do to try and stop the Skrull invasion. Regardless of if he’s ready or not, he seems like he’s in the mindset of doing what he’s got to do to get the job done.
The series also stars Ben Mendelsohn, Martin Freeman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulroney, Christopher McDonald, Katie Finneran, with Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, and Don Cheadle.
