THE CONJURING: LAST RITES Adds Ben Hardy and Mia Tomlinson To The Cast
Ben Hardy and Mia Tomlinson have joined Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga in New Line’s next film in The Conjuring franchise, The Conjuring: Last Rites.
This next chapter in the series will once again be written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who previously wrote the screenplays for the last two installments. There’s no word yet on who will be directing, but the franchise creator, James Wan will produce alongside Peter Safran.
There are still no story details to share on the movie, but Wan previously said in an interview that this film might wrap on the Warrens’ story.
He said: “With the Conjuring films, we are very precious about [them]. And so we kind of want to just take our time to make sure we get it right and to make sure the emotion of the Warren stories that we want to tell, and moving into, and potentially wrapping up, we just want to make sure that it’s the right thing, the right story that we’re telling.”
It was also announced that there is a Conjuring series in development for HBO’s MAX streaming series. The show is said to “continue the story established in the feature films,” but no other details were shared.
The Conjuring films are based on the real-life case files of the Warrens, and I’m excited to see what this next terrifying tale will be.
