THE FANTASTIC 4: FIRST STEPS Set Photos Feature Joseph Quinn's Johnny Storm

Some new photos from the set of Marvel Studios The Fantastic 4: First Steps have surfaced online and they feature Joseph Quinn's Johnny Storm in costume.

We previously saw Quinn wearing this costume in a video that was shot on the set of the film that was shown during the D23 Expo. I’m a fan of the retro visual direction that they are taking in this movie, and it’s going to look awesome!

The Fantastic 4 is set in the ‘60s in an alternate-reality version of New York City. We saw some test footage of this at Comic-Con last month and I was blown away by it. The movie just started shooting, and they had nothing more to share at D23.

Quinn follows in the footsteps of Chris Evans along with Michael B. Jordan, who both play Johnny Storm in previous films.

When previously asked about that, the actor said, "I haven't gotten in touch with them - maybe I should. It's important to claim these opportunities as your own.

“I think they both did incredible jobs, and I'm definitely aware of how much this role means to a lot of people, and how successful they were in portraying him.

"I think it's important to come at this with reverence for the people that have played it before, but an intention to make it one's own."

The movie also stars Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us) as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning) as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman; and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Punisher, The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka the Thing.

Paul Walter Houser also recently was cast in the project in an unknown role, Natasha Lyonne, and Julia Garner (Ozark, Inventing Anna) will take on the role of Shalla-Bal, who is an incarnation of Silver Surfer. Ralph Ineson will play Galactus.
