Coyne joins a growing cast that includes Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, and Jeremy Allen White as Jabba The Hutt’s son.
Favreau previously shared a statement with the film’s announcement, saying: “I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created. The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”
Favreau co-wrote the screenplay with Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy will produce The Mandalorian & Grogu.
This will be the first Star Wars film to start production and be released since Episode IX: The Rise of the Skywalker.
